Việt D. Đinh (also known as Đinh Đồng Phụng Việt or Đinh Phụng Việt; born February 22, 1968) was the Assistant Attorney General of the United States from 2001 to 2003, under the presidency of George W. Bush. He was the chief architect of the USA PATRIOT Act.
Biography Dinh was born on February 22, 1968 in Saigon, South Vietnam. Dinh and his family emigrated to the United States to escape oppressive campaigns from the Communist Government of Vietnam in 1978.
